Hi, I’m Lew Fleming the artist known as MZ LEW - I'm an Australian contemporary botanical artist based in Moreton Bay, Queensland. Self-taught, with a background in graphic design and branding, I began developing my painting practice during early motherhood in the 2020 COVID lockdowns; finding a renewed connection to creativity, nature and self-belief through art.

My work explores the space between tropical botanicals and the dreamlike, combining vibrant colour, expressive mark-making and abstract forms across canvas, paper and architectural surfaces. Inspired by nature, personal growth, hope and the possibilities of what lies ahead, I create art that invites us to look beyond the familiar and imagine what might be possible. My practice spans original paintings, fine art prints, murals, public art and creative collaborations with brands and businesses.

My work has been featured in public art projects across the City of Moreton Bay and the Gold Coast, including Glowstate at Pine Rivers Park, Stories Beneath Our Feet in Samford and Between Dreams + Sky as part of the Miami Surface Festival's Fenceline Exhibition. 

I create for the dreamers, the curious and those who are learning to trust themselves, take up space and imagine something bigger for their lives.
