Framing Tips
I've designed my prints to make framing as simple and accessible as possible, with popular Australian sizes and a crisp white border for a refined, luxe finish. If you're not sure where to start, this page is here to help.
What frame should I use?
The easiest option is to choose a frame that matches the print size exactly. If you'd like to use a mat board, just make sure the frame opening suits both the print and the mat so everything sits neatly in place.
A simple frame can look beautiful, but if you want something more polished, a local Picture Framer can help with custom sizing, mat boards and the right finish for your space.
Can I frame it myself?
Yes — if you're comfortable framing at home, that's a great option too. If your print arrives rolled, gently unroll it onto a clean surface and allow it to flatten before framing.
How should I store it first?
Until you're ready to frame it, keep your print stored flat or rolled in a cool, dark place away from moisture and direct sunlight. That helps protect the paper and keeps the print looking its best.
If you need to flatten it first, place the print on a clean surface with the acid-free paper on the printed side, then rest soft folded towels on top so the weight will flatten it down. Then frame as desired.
What kind of frame works best?
Popular Australian frame sizes make it easy to find something ready-made from stores like Kmart, Officeworks, Target or Spotlight. If you'd like a more elevated finish, a local Picture Framer can guide you through custom options and frame styling.
If you're choosing between styles, a clean, minimal frame usually keeps the focus on the artwork itself. That said, the best frame is always the one that feels right for your home.
A few notes
Colours may vary slightly from screen to print depending on your monitor, paper and lighting. That's completely normal and every effort is made to keep the final print true to the original artwork.
